University planning advice is full of confident claims with nothing behind them. We built PathwayPrep the opposite way: if we can't verify something, we say so instead of guessing.
Three rules we never break
Admission ranges, prerequisites, deadlines, and tuition in your report come only from a dataset we curate by hand. Every entry records the university's own page it came from and the date we checked it. When we don't have verified data for something, your report says "confirm with the university" rather than inventing an answer.
Every score and percentage in your report is computed arithmetic: a ratio you could recalculate yourself from your own answers. The AI we use writes explanations and organizes your plan. It is never allowed to state an institutional fact or make up a number.
No report is sent until a human operator has read it. If an answer is unclear or your situation needs a judgment call, a person makes that call, not a model.
What we won't do
- We don't publish success rates we can't prove. You may see "93.5%" or "98% acceptance" claims elsewhere; none we've found publish how they were measured.
- We don't write your child's essays or applications. Application platforms treat AI-written submissions as fraud, and we agree with them.
- We don't guarantee admission. Nobody honest can.
- We don't hide our prices behind a sales call. They're on the website: one price, once.
- We don't use countdown timers or "2 spots left" pressure. This is your child's education.
Why this matters right now
AI tools confidently repeat outdated deadlines and requirements, and most advice sites never say where a number came from. Meanwhile the real deadlines are unforgiving: several major scholarships close months before the application deadline most families plan around. A plan is only useful if its facts are current, and dated.
